You may have noticed we have employed a new gardening company, James Powell. We have a programme of work which includes rejuvenating borders but this is best done now in the autumn.
There are two elements of proposed work where we would like your views.
Yew Hedges in the Square Some of these need replaced and will be. Others need pruning to a uniform height. The hedges are now much higher than when we all moved in but they do provide privacy. If the yew hedges are trimmed, we seek your views as to the degree of the "haircut", should it be a brief trim or more severe.
It may be that for the hedges which form a boundary in the common area in the middle of the square that a more severe cut should be made so children running out between hedge are seen by cars.
It would be so helpful to get everyone's input so please post your views.
Hebe Hedges on Roehampton Lane
These provide a high degree of privacy for ground floor apartments but for some the hedges may now be overgrown. We would like to tailor the degree of trimming to each flats requirements. It would therefore be helpful to understand each flat owner's views.
